Ken Patterson of Mercator Advisory Group reported on SMB online buying and payment preferences in October 2007. Some key themes of Ken’s report are:
- The majority of business buyers delay purchases due to cash flow concerns
- Many buyers express frustration at a lack of accommodation to their companies’ payment needs
- Security and shipping concerns are still common

Jupiter: B2B Online Sales Growth Being Fueled by New, Quickly Growing Segment of Online-Enthusiastic Micro Businesses
A September 2007 report from Jupiter Research’s Sonal Gandhi predicts small business ecommerce will almost double by 2012. Sonal believes the growth will be fueled by a surge in online-enthusiastic micro businesses, an increase in customer value, heightened competition between retailers and an increase in products that are easier to buy online such as digital goods.
Mercator: Small Business Credit Card 2007 Update
In October, 2007 Mercator Advisory Group released their annual survey of small business credit products including Bill Me Later Business.
"Building on the success of its consumer service model, Bill Me Later is currently rolling out its Business offering to merchants in the online and call center channels.
